The EnABLE Ghana Programme is a multi-stakeholder initiative implemented by Solidaridad West Africa and Tropenbos Ghana to strengthen equitable participation in Ghana’s climate and forest governance systems.
The programme focuses on improving access to both carbon and non-carbon benefits for vulnerable groups under the Ghana Cocoa Forest REDD+ Programme (GCFRP). These vulnerable groups include women, youth, migrant farmers, and persons with disabilities who are often excluded from climate financing opportunities and sustainable development interventions.
By promoting inclusive governance, sustainable land-use practices, climate-smart cocoa production, and community engagement, EnABLE Ghana contributes to reducing emissions from deforestation while improving livelihoods and strengthening community resilience.
The programme works directly with farming communities, traditional authorities, civil society organizations, government institutions, and local stakeholders to create fair and transparent systems that benefit people and protect forests.
